Cobble Beach

For this post, I will be reminiscing my trip to new port Oregon, due to my inability to leave my house during the quarantine. This spot, in particular, brought me a lot of joy. Cobble beach has a stunning view of the ocean and the wild life was everywhere. If you look closely at the rock farthest on the left you can see a large number of white specks. Every single one of them is a bird perched resting between flights. I also was able to see sea lions sitting on the shore of the beach. As for the beach itself, it was really interesting. The name is extremely obvious, but the beach has barely any sand and is mostly made out of large black rocks. They even have signs that say don’t take rocks from the shore. I don’t think they do much because I saw multiple people pocketing rocks. I know for sure my parents didn’t, even after I told them the signs said not to.The best part easily had to be the grey whales we saw in the distance, those creatures are just absolutely amazing to see in person. The lighthouse at the top of the cliff was amazing as well, something about the sea breeze and the size of the tower was really cool. Sadly the inside was closed and I didn’t get to experience it, but i would love to go again and explore it. This probably isn’t the most exciting thing to do in Oregon but its absolutely worth the travel if you find the time. So as always please go check this place out if you find yourself in the area. It’s a wonderful experience especially since there is no cost to go out and see the view.
