Meow Wolf

Description

Due to the recent pandemic and inability to leave my house I have decided to rate a place outside of San Marcos. Last years spring break I traveled to Colorado with a group of friends and on the way we stopped at a place called Meow Wolf. Meow Wolf is an interactive maze like experience in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Let me start by saying this might be one of the coolest places to visit in all of New Mexico. The whole experience is like a vision quest you would see in a movie, mixed with a 80’s sci-fi horror flick. I cant express how interesting it is walking through this maze like interior. In fear of spoiling some of the rooms I will refrain from going into detail, but I will explain the experience i had.

The Experience

The building itself is a massive storage facility with an arcade like entrance. After admission you enter a dark hallway that leads you to the front of a historic house. All seems normal at first when you enter, but then you turn the corner to the kitchen. Where the entirety of it is upside down. Excluding the fridge for some reason, but when you approach it you hear noises. Being encouraged you would open the fridge finding a hallway that leads into an entire spaceship. This is only a small fraction of what there is to find me and my friend spent 3 hours exploring each and every room. Not to mention they have live performers that travel through its halls. For example, i ended up in a fish bowl with a lady playing a clarinet. All around the experience was magical and if you find yourself nearby please stop by. You can buy tickets at https://meowwolf.com/ , as well as find cool events.
